Back in 2016, I had the pleasure of authoring and photographing The HUNT Rome, my first travel guide about the Eternal City.
The HUNT Guides were an award-winning travel series created by Gatehouse Publishing that focused on best independent eating, shopping and lifestyle destinations around the world. From old-school favorites and offbeat gems to the latest hotspots, the curated city guidebooks featured the most unique small businesses in the world and helped curious travelers explore cities like Sydney, Paris, San Francisco, Hong Kong and more through a local lens. Unfortunately, the publishing house closed a few years ago.

The HUNT Rome is divided up in 10 neighborhood and features 120 hand-picked venues in the Eternal City, from chic boutiques like Chez Dede and Co.Ro. Jewels in the centro storico to street food in Testaccio, late-night bars in Monti and tattoo parlors in Pigneto. Working on the guidebook gave me the opportunity to speak with so many passionate business owners and learn about the inner-workings of the city of Rome so I’m extremely grateful to have had this experience! For posterity’s sake, I’m sharing a few of my favorite pages from the guidebook so you can take a peek inside.
